Cathy Speck has been nominated for a "Tom's of Maine Hero Award" and we really need your vote! As you may know, Cathy was diagnosed in 2009 with ALS (Lou Gehrig's disease). Cathy's family has an inherited genetic mutation and her mom died from ALS, as did her brother a few months ago, and now another brother has been diagnosed. Cathy was nominated for this national award because of her ongoing efforts to raise awareness about ALS, her bouyant spirit in the face of what's happening, and her generosity and kindness that she showers on all those with whom she comes in contact.
The Executive Director of the ALS Sacramento Chapter, Amy Sugimoto has been so impressed and moved by Cathy's efforts that she nominated her. So, EVERYWHERE ACROSS THE NATION ! Please click on the link and vote for whomever you think most deserves this award. Of course, The ALS Association (and all of us in Cathy's world) would be THRILLED if you vote for Cathy Speck.
