HO HO HO ! Tell your friends and friends yet to be!
This year, Xmas Caroling is Wed Dec 15th 4 to 7pm. This is an all-ages, non-religious event -evreyone is invited whether you can sing or not., whether you 're jewish, christian, agnostic, atheist, pagan, humanist, wiccan, hindi, buddhist, muslim, or zoroastrian.
We also sing Hanukkah songs., and at least one song in Spanish -Feliz Naviidad.
Cathy Speck has been hosting this event for about 14 years. (Linda will be outta town) We meet at Cathy's apt 801 "D" st # 3 for eggnog, brandy, apple cider, lots of yummy goodies. We'll hand out the lyric booklets and silly things to wear, i.e. funny xmas hats, jingle bells, antlers, angel wings, elf suits. Bring whatever silly thing you'd like to wear. How 'bout the Co-op Carrot? and maybe the Co-op tomato?
Cathy has all sorts percussion and bells to share, but please bring your own if you so desire. Bring your kids, or borrow some,. The older folks sure do lov e the kiddies. We'll be sure to bring hand sanitizer.
We'll carpool from Cathy's apt at 4:55 to Courtyard Healthcare on E. 8th st. At appox 5:04 pm, we'll sing in the dining area, then roam the halls singing and jingligng and maybe honking. Mazie(the Amazing monkey face pug/poodle/terrier princess) will be riding on my walker and lip synching--she can't read yet.
At approx 5:50 pm , we'll carpool to Sierra Healthcare on Pole Line Rd. We'll sing in the lobby, then roam the halls singing and laughing and spreading joy.
After the caroling, everyone is invited to come back to Cathy's for more Egg nog, warm apple cider, even more goodies. And we can share our thoughts/feelings about our experiences at the convalescent homes--or not. Anyone who stays to help clean up will get the left over goodies and alcoholic beverages.

PPS If anyone wants to come early to help Cathy set up for the event, please call her. Also, She will need help doing her annual apartment holiday massacre decorating and putting up the xmas tree--while listening to xmas music as Rudolph this Red-nosed reindeer plays on the TV (muted) And we'll be decorating the patio too!
