Jumpin' Weather?

Hi everybody,

I am forwarding this email to you re: skydiving and the weather. If you have already made your reservation and can't come to the training on Sunday, call today ASAP to cancel your reservation, and you won't lose your deposit. If you still want to go ahead with the training, read on. As it is now, I've made the decision to not reschedule the jump. We'll go ahead with the training, and if it's not raining we'll jump, and if it is raining, we'll go ahead and do the training and then reschedule the jump and we won't have to do the training again. And after the training, if we feel like socializing and celebrating Suzie's birthday, we can go to Steve's or someplace for lunch in Davis. I wish I could control Mother Nature but for once someone has a louder voice than I.

love, Cathy

PS Please tell or forward this email, or do an email blast, to everyone you think might have been planning on jumping or attending the party.

Future Skydivers ….

Things you should know…for jump day….

The classroom training will take place rain or shine. If it is raining on Sunday morning & you don’t show up – you forfeit the $25 reservation fee. Also, the more folks that show up,the cheaper the cost to everyone---the group rate will be determined on how many folks show up on jump day ..see this link for details …http://new.skydance.net/tandem_skydiving/tandem_skydiving_group.htm . Unless Cathy pulls the plug- we go on Sunday.

Wear appropriate clothes for the weather – what you wear to the DZ is not what you must jump in.There is a changing area in the restrooms. If you get cold easily – lightweight items like tights, turtlenecks, lightweight fleece is great to wear under your jumpsuit. No hoods, scarves, etc…lose the bulky items. If you are a warmer sort – shorts & t-shirts are fine.

Eat your Wheaties Please eat breakfast & stay hydrated. While this can be a kick-ass fun time it can be miserable if you become light-headed or sick because you didn’t eat.Bring food & drink or buy stuff at the concession stand.

Bring binocs, cameras, video gear. The DZ has free Wi-Fi .Books, magazines, newspapers can relieve the down time btwn jumps.

Lastly – this is about having fun – but it isn’t Disneyland. Skydance has an exemplary safety record & that is the reason I have been jumping there since 1990.This sport is not for everyone-but everybody should jump at least once in their life. That being said – show up to have a great time & meet exciting new people.
