Welcome to our Cathy's Co-op Crew Lotsa Helping Hands website. This site will be used to allow Cathy's Co-op community to coordinate tasks and to stay connected. Cathy's Co-op Crew that are available can give Cathy and Linda some help with some of the tasks that are becoming more difficult with the progression of Cathy's illness.

What is ALS
Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS), often referred to as "Lou Gehrig's Disease," is a progressive neurodegenerative disease that affects nerve cells in the brain and the spinal cord. Motor neurons reach from the brain to the spinal cord and from the spinal cord to the muscles throughout the body.
